SEC Proposes Comprehensive Crypto Regulation Framework
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has published its Reg Crypto proposal, establishing a formal regulatory framework for digital assets. The proposal has been opened to public comment for 60 days, giving market participants, industry stakeholders, and the general public the opportunity to submit feedback before the SEC finalizes the rule.
The timing of this proposal reflects intensifying regulatory activity in the digital asset space, moving from guidance and enforcement actions toward codified rules. The comment period will be critical in shaping how digital asset transactions, custody, and trading are regulated under U.S. securities law.
